Benfica (2000)

His first role as a manager came when he replaced manager Jupp Heynckes as the head coach. Following controversies, however, he resigned in the same year.

During his time with the Portuguese club, he caught widespread attention following his success.

Porto (2002-2004)

Mourinho established his name while managing Porto. He defeated Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United before joining Chelsea. He led Porto to a Champions League win in 2004.

Chelsea (2004-2007)

Mourinho became ‘The Special One’ in Premier League after his run with Chelsea. He won two Premier League titles with Chelsea during his time.

Inter Milan (2008-2010)

Jose had a tough but successful time with Inter. He became the first coach to win a Treble and Inter the first to win in Italy. He also won the Champions League with Inter.

Real Madrid (2010-2013)

His yet another tedious managerial role. He won the La Liga with Real Madrid during his time in Spain.

Chelsea (2013-2015)

The Special One returned to England to manage Chelsea. He won the Premier League but left Chelsea to take over as the head coach of rivals Manchester United.

Manchester United (2016-2018)

Jose started with two major trophies and became the first United manager to do so in a debut season. But following United’s poor form he was sacked in 2018.

Tottenham Hotspur (2019-2021)

He failed to win any significant trophies with Spurs. He was sacked mid-way, much like his previous job.

Roma (2021-)

Within months, Italian side Roma announced Mourinho as their new manager. His return to Italy will begin from the 2021 season as the head coach.
