Apple's 2025 Plans: AirTag 2, Smart Home Devices, and iPhone SE 4
Apple's 2025 Plans: Apple is preparing for a high-octane year 2025. From improved AirTag trackings to advanced smart home devices, the new range of products prepared by the company leaves its competitors in a speculative mood as Apple is likely to bolster its smart home market presence while refreshing some of its most popular lines.
New in AirTag Second Generation:
The AirTag successor will be codenamed B589, and it will begin shipping in mid-2025. Its design will essentially remain the same, but the upgraded version will still feature a new wireless chip to increase the range and improve tracking. The additional privacy features will ensure the speaker won't activate as frequently, hopefully reducing the chances of an unintended activation being used in stalking. The device is currently undergoing production testing.
