The Display & Brightness section now features an option to "Require Screen On" allowing users to avoid allowing the Camera Control button to be active unless the screen is turned on. When disabled, however, the button will work with the screen off.

Updating icons for Climate and Media applications; this will enhance the appearance of their interface. The new icons will be introduced as part of new car models that support CarPlay, and they will become available at the end of 2024.
Additional iOS 18.2 Features
Besides these, there are more releases that include a new AirDrop icon that responds to Dark Mode, enhanced Precision Finding for AirTags, and fixing an issue that caused the "Play Sound" feature to malfunction within the Find My network, ensuring users do not move in circles when trying to locate lost devices.
