Apple iPhone 17 Slim: The World's Thinnest Smartphone – What We Know So Far
Apple is set to revolutionize the smartphone market with the iPhone 17 Slim, which could become the world’s thinnest smartphone. Slated for release next year, the iPhone 17 Slim is expected to be just 6mm thick, making it a standout in terms of design and portability. Leaks suggest that this ultra-slim device may replace the iPhone 17 Plus model and could even be marketed as the iPhone 17 Air.
The iPhone 17 Slim will have a sleek and lightweight aluminum body, while the Pro models in the series are expected to feature titanium for added durability. Apple’s previous thinnest iPhone was launched nearly a decade ago, and with the iPhone 17 Slim, the company is aiming for a major leap in design, moving away from the thicker models seen in the iPhone 16 series, which range from 7.8mm to 8.25mm.
The iPhone 17 Slim/Air is rumored to feature a 6.6-inch display and be powered by the cutting-edge A19 Bionic chipset, built with 3nm technology. This will offer a significant performance boost, with the device likely to come equipped with 8GB of RAM. One of the most exciting upgrades will be the selfie camera, which could jump from 12MP to 24MP for sharper and more detailed selfies.
In terms of the rear camera, the iPhone 17 Slim might include a powerful 48MP sensor. The design of the iPhone 17 Slim/Air will also be distinct, possibly introducing fresh aesthetics to set it apart from other models in the iPhone 17 series. With new Face ID features and advanced AI technology, the iPhone 17 Slim is expected to be one of the most innovative and affordable iPhones Apple has ever launched.
