4 New Hero Bikes Set for Launch in India in 2025: Xpulse 210, Mavrick 440, and More
Hero MotoCorp will unveil four highly awaited motorcycles in India starting from the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, beginning in January 2025. These new products that have been globally launched at EICMA 2024 in Milan, include the Hero Mavrick 440, Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, and Karizma XMR 250. These bikes signify a new step for Hero into other new segments with designs refreshed, features enhanced, and the power of the engine at the top. Here’s a closer look at what’s in store for the Indian market:
1. 2025 Hero Mavrick 440: Updated and Upgraded
The Hero Mavrick 440, revealed at EICMA 2024, brings several visual updates over its predecessor. The new model features a golden USD front suspension and a stylish new paint scheme. Additionally, the instrument cluster has been upgraded to a TFT console, replacing the previous LCD display. It does decrease the kerb weight overall by 2kg for 189 kg. The power remains with the same 440cc air-cooled unit mated to the same 6-speed transmission providing reliability to enthusiasts.
2. Hero Xpulse 210: Much-awaited adventure bike
The Hero Xpulse 210 is one of the most eagerly awaited bikes for India. This bike is supposed to replace the Xpulse 200 and features a 210cc liquid-cooled engine producing 24.6 bhp and 20.7 Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, along with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, a 4.2-inch TFT display, and Bluetooth connectivity. The Xpulse 210 will be available in India by the first quarter of 2025. This motorcycle is designed for adventure riders.
3. Hero Xtreme 250R: Hero's Foray into the 250cc Segment
Hero MotoCorp will finally enter the highly competitive 250cc motorcycle market with the Xtreme 250R. The motorcycle will be powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out 30 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. The Xtreme 250R will cover 0-60 km/h in just 3.25 seconds. It features a steel trellis frame and LED lighting with DRL, dual-tone paint schemes, disc brakes, and switchable ABS. It will challenge rivals like the KTM 250 Duke and Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 in India.
4. Hero Karizma XMR 250: The Fully-Faired Sports Bike
The Hero Karizma XMR 250 is the first to be showcased globally at EICMA 2024. It will directly compete with the Suzuki Gixxer 250 in the Indian market. The fully-faired bike is powered by the same engine as the Xtreme 250R, with identical power output and torque figures. Some of the notable features of the Karizma XMR 250 include an adjustable clip-on handlebar, full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, a TFT instrument console, and an integrated starter switch. It will launch this bike in the second half of 2025.
