The excitement surrounding iPhones remains unmatched, with many eager customers standing in long queues to get their hands on the latest iPhone 16 and its variants. However, several users of the iPhone 16 Pro, priced at ₹1,19,900, have reported issues with the screen, specifically related to delayed touch responses and taps not registering properly.

Potential Reasons Behind the Problem

The screen issues appear to be affecting only the Pro models, namely the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, both of which feature a 120Hz ProMotion display. Some Reddit users have speculated that the thinner bezels in these models could be a contributing factor. Another possible cause could be the recent iOS 18 update, which may have impacted the display's performance. It is expected that Apple will address these issues in an upcoming iOS 18 update or a patch.

Manufacturing and Price Reductions

While Apple has started producing the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus in India this year, the Pro models are still being manufactured in China. Despite this, Apple has managed to reduce the price of the iPhone 16 Pro series in India by approximately ₹15,000 compared to previous models, thanks to the lower customs duties announced in the Union Budget 2024.

Apple continues to expand its manufacturing operations in India, aiming to lessen its reliance on China as its primary production hub.
