Mahindra BE 6e Electric SUV: Price, Features, Bookings, and Deliveries Details

The Mahindra BE 6e, priced at ₹18.90 lakh (base variant), will be available for bookings in January 2025 with deliveries starting in February. The electric SUV offers advanced tech, powerful engine options, and top-spec features like ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and 5G connectivity.

Mahindra BE 6e Electric SUV: Mahindra & Mahindra has finally launched its much-awaited BE 6e electric SUV, priced at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant. The company also unveiled the XEV 9e during the launch event. While the full price list is still a mystery, the starting price of the BE 6e is for the entry-grade variant, "Pack One." Order bookings for both the BE 6e and XEV 9e will begin in January 2025. Deliveries will start at the end of February 2025.

Dimensions and Design:

The BE 6e boasts a length of 4,371mm, while its width and height are given at 1,907mm and 1,627mm, respectively. Ground clearance is also the same as the XEV 9e, at 2,775mm. A 207mm ground clearance and an under 10 meters turning circle are stated by the manufacturer. In terms of wheels, the aero-optimized 19-inchers get the SUV, with optional 20-inchers being available if desired. The SUV comes with good boot space, at 455 liters, plus additional 45 liters of front trunk storage.

Interior and Technology

BE 6e boasts an advanced dual 12.3-inch floating screen infotainment system powered by 24 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, the fastest automotive-grade chipset. It comes with three pre-set themes-Calm, Cozy, and Club, and ambient lighting, climate control, and signature tunes for personalization.

It features an augmented reality head-up display, a two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel, and a floating center console with an aircraft thrust-lever-style drive mode selector. Other interior features include a rotary dial for drive modes, a wireless charging pad, and cupholders. The aircraft-style control panel for lighting and sunroof controls is located on the roof, and there are strap-type door handles.

Premium Features:

Top-spec variants of the BE 6e will include dual-zone climate control, a large panoramic sunroof with integrated multi-color lighting, and laminated glass that blocks UV rays. The vehicle will also feature auto park assist, an in-car camera, electronic parking brake, a Dolby Atmos 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, ambient lighting, and powered driver's seat with memory function. In terms of added tech, this SUV is going to sport 5G connectivity, in-built Wi-Fi, OTA updates, and Level 2 ADAS suite. Additionally, there would be 360-degree cameras along with seven airbags.

Battery and Performance:

BE 6e will have two different battery packs: one will be the 59kWh variant and the bigger one would be 79kWh using LFP chemistry. The 59kWh will deliver 228hp, and the 79kWh produces 281hp, the two models putting out 380Nm of torque. Launch trim will be rear-wheel drive, but Mahindra says the top spec will cover 0-100km/h in just 6.7sec. There are three normal driving modes on offer—Range, Everyday, and Race. A Boost mode delivers maximum torque over a 10-second stint.

The Mahindra BE 6e is, therefore, going to be a highly competitive electric SUV, offering powerful performance, high-end technology, and premium features at a starting price of ₹18.90 lakh. The bookings for this product will start in January 2025, and the deliveries will start in February 2025.
