The launch of the OnePlus 13 is approaching as the company begins teasing its upcoming flagship. Rumors suggest that the device will be equipped with powerful hardware, and based on recent comments from a OnePlus executive, more significant upgrades are anticipated this year. Notably, the OnePlus 13 is expected to support magnetic charging technology, similar to Apple's MagSafe feature.

Confirmation of Magnetic Charging

This confirmation came from Louis Lee, the head of OnePlus China, through a post on Weibo. He stated that the OnePlus 13 will incorporate a magnetic function for wireless charging, which resembles the Qi2 charging standard combined with MagSafe technology. This means the OnePlus 13 could have a magnetic coil on its back, enabling faster wireless charging capabilities.

Dual Charging Options

Interestingly, OnePlus has already introduced rapid wireless charging speeds in its previous models, suggesting that the brand might offer a dual charging approach, allowing users to charge their devices using either Qi2 or OnePlus's proprietary charging technology. While OnePlus won't be the first Android manufacturer to adopt this feature, as it has already been implemented in devices like the Infinix Zero 40 5G and HMD smartphones, it will enhance the competitive edge of their flagship.

Early reports about the OnePlus 13 are promising, indicating potential new finishes and a significant RAM increase, possibly up to 24GB. Additionally, the device could feature a robust 6,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
