Engine and Performance Under the hood, the Kylaq features a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine that generates 114bhp of power and 178Nm of torque. It comes with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Skoda has designed this SUV keeping in mind metro city customers, and with a price tag under ₹8 lakh, it hopes to see strong demand in the compact SUV segment.

Design The Skoda Kylaq has a sporty and compact design, perfect for city driving. It shares the same design as other Skoda models, with a front and rear profile that is similar to the Kushaq. It is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels, which give it a great appearance. It is available in six colors: Lave Blue, Tornado Red, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, and a new Olive Gold.

Inside, the Kylaq is a class of its kind with dual digital screens, powered driver seats, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and 6-speaker sound by Canton. It offers a set of six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and three-point seat belts in every version for security purposes.

Competition The Skoda Kylaq will face competition from other popular compact SUVs like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Nissan Magnite. Although the Kylaq offers an impressive package, the company's after-sales service has been a concern for some buyers.
