Xiaomi has officially confirmed the global launch of the MIX Flip, marking its entry into the foldable phone market. CEO Lei Jun announced that this device, which debuted in China as the company’s first clamshell folding phone, is set to launch later this month. While a specific release date has yet to be disclosed, the anticipation is palpable following Jun's earlier inquiry in July about customer interest in the MIX Flip.

Key Features to Anticipate:

Display Specs: The Xiaomi MIX Flip is expected to feature a 6.86-inch 1.5K LTPO primary display and a 4-inch 1.5K LTPO cover display. Both screens are rumored to support a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Powerful Performance: The phone is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, making it a powerhouse for multitasking and high-performance applications.

Camera Capabilities: In terms of photography, the MIX Flip may house a primary 50-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a secondary 50-megapixel telephoto camera. The front camera is expected to be a 32-megapixel sensor, although final specifications will be confirmed post-launch.

Battery and Software: The device is anticipated to run on Hyper OS based on Android 14 and will support 67W fast charging with a 4,780mAh battery, ensuring quick power-ups for users on the go.

Pricing Expectations: The Xiaomi MIX Flip is priced at around EUR 1,299 (approximately ₹1,21,162) in the Philippines and CNY 6,499 (around ₹77,068) in China. If launched at a similar price point in India, it could rival existing models like the Motorola Razr 50 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.
