India Yamaha Motor recently showcased its highly anticipated middle-weight supersport motorcycle, the YZF-R7, at the Indian MotoGP held at the Buddh International Circuit. Initially unveiled in July at the MMRT, Chennai, the YZF-R7 is expected to launch in India by the end of this year.
Radical Design Inspired by the YZF-R1
The YZF-R7 takes cues from its elder sibling, the YZF-R1. It features a single projector LED headlamp integrated into the central air intake, flanked by sleek LED DRLs, giving it a striking appearance. The sculpted fairing, muscular fuel tank, and upswept tail section with large scoops add to its aerodynamic and proportionate design.

The motorcycle is powered by a 689cc twin-cylinder engine, producing 73bhp at 8,750rpm and 67Nm at 6,500rpm. Paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch, the YZF-R7 promises a smooth yet thrilling riding experience.
