Assam Tattoo Artist Murdered In Mumbai, Cops Suspect Boyfriend

The police suspect the victim's boyfriend, who is on the run, for the gruesome murder.
"The victim, Shantikriya Kashyap alias Koel, was found dead with multiple head injuries inflicted by a sharp weapon, on July 24 at a house in the Pratik Nagar locality of Murtijapur, where her boyfriend Kunal alias Sunny Shringare, 30, lived," an official of Murtizapur city police station said.
Kashyap met Shringare on social media, and they later befriended each other.
According to police, Kashyap, who hailed from Assam, recently moved to Mumbai from Delhi and established her own tattoo business in Mumbai.
Investigating the matter, the police added that Kashyap's boyfriend called her to his Murtijapur town on July 21, promising to find her a job.
Shringare, who worked as a waiter at a local bar, took Kashyap there to seek employment, but the owner refused to hire her.
Police further stated that an argument broke out between Shringare and Kashyap, and in a fit of rage, he hit her on the head with a sharp weapon on July 23.
The police are investigating the matter and trying to arrest the accused, who is on the run.
