A shocking incident from Bangalore has come out where a woman's intention of cultivating ganja for an Instagram reel brought her and her husband into a police cell. Urmila, who originally came to the city from Nepal along with her husband Gurung from MSR Nagar, was arrested by Sadashivanagar Police as they found that the couple had been cultivating the illegal plant in their balcony.
Bangalore Woman’s Instagram Reel Reveals Ganja Garden
The entire scene played out when Urmila posted an Instagram reel boasting of her balcony garden, which was teeming with a variety of 15 different types of plants. Among the colorful flowers, something caught the viewers' attention-it was a cannabis plant. This detail didn't go unnoticed, and a tip-off reached the police. The lead was responded to with due promptness, and the police officers conducted a search on the residence of the couple and found the cannabis plant intermingled with other plants. Along with the plant, the police recovered 54 grams of ganja from their possession.
After the investigation, the couple was arrested but was later released on station bail. The seized ganja is still with the authorities; they still continue investigating this case more and further as police trace the couple's actions and intentions.

This weird case once again reminds us of the dangers of publishing content on social media without knowledge about legal boundaries. While Urmila perhaps wanted to boast about the gardening she was doing, this turned into a legal issue where she unwittingly exposed her illegal cultivation on social media. Such a situation teaches one that one post can end up having serious consequences and may even reach the confines of law courts, especially in regions that strictly prohibit marijuana culture.
