Maya Gogoi Found Dead in Bengaluru Apartment

Maya Gogoi, a popular vlogger known for her engaging content and lively personality, was found dead on November 24. Her body was discovered with severe injuries, including a fatal stab wound to her chest and head trauma. Maya, who had been living in a paying guest facility in Hoodi, Bengaluru, with her sister and cousin, was last seen on the day of the murder.

What made the case even more disturbing was the discovery of Maya's body in the apartment where Aarav Hanoy, the primary suspect, had reportedly spent two days with her lifeless body. According to police reports, Hanoy allegedly smoked cigarettes while sitting in front of Maya’s corpse before fleeing the scene.

Aarav Hanoy, who is now the prime suspect in the murder, is believed to have premeditated the crime. Authorities revealed that he had ordered a rope through an online delivery service before the murder, suggesting that the killing was planned. After committing the crime, Hanoy reportedly booked a cab on the morning of November 26 and traveled to the Bengaluru railway station.

Upon reaching the station, he switched off his phone, making it harder for investigators to track his movements. However, police were able to reconstruct his escape route using CCTV footage, witness statements, and Call Detail Records (CDR). They discovered that Hanoy then took a taxi to the Majestic area in Bengaluru’s Central Business District, where he once again disabled his phone.

Following the murder, authorities quickly launched an investigation into Hanoy’s whereabouts. Special teams were formed by the police, led by Indiranagar Police Station Inspector Sudarshan, to locate the suspect. One team is focused on searching within Bengaluru, while another has been dispatched to Kerala, where Hanoy is suspected to have connections.

Police are closely reviewing all available CCTV footage from the route Hanoy took after leaving the service apartment. They are also appealing for information from the public to help them capture the suspect. Hanoy remains at large, and investigators are following up on leads to track him down.
