Bengaluru Woman Sparks Outrage by Deliberately Destroying Children’s Onam Pookalam at Monarch Serenity Apartment: Cultural Disrespect Goes Viral on Social Media

In a shocking incident, Simi Nair, a resident of Monarch Serenity Apartment Complex in Bengaluru, has caused public outrage after she deliberately destroyed a Pookalam created by children in the building’s common area. The Pookalam, a traditional flower arrangement made to celebrate the festival of Onam, had been painstakingly crafted by the children as part of the festivities.

Witnesses claim that Nair purposefully walked through the flower decoration, scattering the carefully arranged flowers and ruining the display. The incident has deeply upset the children and their families, as Onam is a culturally significant festival, especially in Kerala, where Pookalams are an integral part of the celebration.
