Ganesh Chaturthi: KSRTC Announces 1,500 Extra Buses for Gauri-Ganesh Festival, Offers Ticket Discounts

In anticipation of the Gauri-Ganesh festival, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced the deployment of 1,500 additional buses from September 5 to 7, providing connectivity to various destinations within the state and beyond.
 

Bengaluru: In anticipation of the Gauri-Ganesh festival, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced the deployment of 1,500 additional buses from September 5 to 7, providing connectivity to various destinations within the state and beyond. The corporation is also offering discounts on ticket fares to facilitate easier travel for passengers.

Starting September 5, KSRTC will operate extra buses from Bangalore to multiple locations across Karnataka and neighboring states. Special services will also be available on September 8 for travelers returning to Bangalore from various locations. Passengers are encouraged to utilize these additional services for a smooth travel experience.

Major Routes from Majestic Station: From the Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic) in Bangalore, buses will run to destinations including Dharmasthala, Kukke Subrahmanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Honnavar, Davanagere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad.

Routes from Satellite Station: From the Satellite Bus Station on Mysore Road, buses will be available to Mysore, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalnagar, and Madikeri.

Routes from Shantinagar Station: The Shantinagar Bus Station will provide services to major destinations such as Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Calicut.

Discounts on Ticket Fares: KSRTC is offering a 5% discount for groups of four or more who book their tickets together. Additionally, a 10% discount is available for round-trip tickets when both onward and return journeys are booked simultaneously.

North Karnataka Special Buses: For passengers traveling to their hometowns in North Karnataka, the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation is operating approximately 220 additional special buses from Hubballi, Dharwad, Gadag, Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Chikkodi, and Bagalkote regions.

With the Gauri and Ganesh Chaturthi festivals falling on September 6 and 7, KSRTC has arranged for additional buses to accommodate the high volume of passengers traveling to their hometowns. Extra services will be available on the evening of September 5 and throughout September 6, with continued additional services on September 8, 9, and subsequent days based on passenger demand.
