In an extreme act of frustration, a Chennai man set his electric vehicle on fire at the entrance of a private sales center in Ambattur after his repeated repair complaints were ignored. In a dramatic outburst of frustration, a Chennai man set his electric vehicle on fire outside a sales center in Ambattur Industrial Estate after repeatedly facing issues with the vehicle's repairs. Parthasarathy, a resident of Thirumullaivayal, had purchased the electric two-wheeler, an Attar, for Rs 1.80 lakh. He had taken the vehicle to a private sales center for repairs but claimed that despite multiple visits, the same technical fault persisted.

In a rage, Parthasarathy returned to the sales center and accused the staff of failing to solve the problem. He set the vehicle ablaze in front of the sales center when his complaints were not addressed appropriately. He was shouting as he watched the fire consume his electric vehicle, urging others not to buy the same brand, accusing the company of deceiving customers.

The incident, which happened roadside, shocked the locality, causing traffic congestion as people came to see the scene. The local police arrived at the spot immediately and questioned the customer and the sales center staff regarding the altercation and the incident. The matter is being investigated by the authorities, and Parthasarathy continues to express his frustration over the unaddressed repair issues.
