In a tragic incident in Gurugram during heavy rainfall, three people lost their lives due to electrocution. The victims were employees of a private company. The police have taken the bodies into custody and initiated an investigation.

According to reports, on Wednesday, amidst heavy rain, an electric wire snapped and fell on the road near the IFFCO Chowk Metro Station, causing the water to become electrically charged. The three victims, who worked for a private company, were electrocuted while heading towards the metro station.

The victims have been identified as Wasim, a resident of Sangam Vihar in Delhi, Devendra Bajpai from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, and Jaipal Yadav from Mahendragarh. All three worked for a private company in Manesar. The incident occurred around 11 PM when they were on their way to the IFFCO Chowk Metro Station.

The police reported that the electric wire fell with a tree and made contact with the waterlogged street, leading to the electrocution of the three men. Nearby residents and police officers rushed the victims to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

One of the deceased was a driver returning to his room after parking a vehicle at an apartment, while another was returning from Malhotra Transport Company located in IMT Manesar. Due to the significant water accumulation, it took some time before the bodies were discovered.

The police are currently investigating the incident to understand the circumstances leading to the accident and to prevent future occurrences.
