20-Year-Old Killed While Protecting Brother in Pune's Gultekdi, Six Arrested
In a tragic incident in Pune's Gultekdi area, a 20-year-old man was fatally stabbed on Tuesday night while attempting to save his brother from a group of attackers. The police have arrested six individuals in connection with the murder.
The victim, Sunil Sarode, a resident of Dias Plot in Gultekdi, lost his life after being struck in the neck with a sharp weapon. According to police reports, Sunil was trying to protect his brother, Ganesh Sarode, during an altercation with the assailants. The accused have been identified as Sahil Kamble, Rohit Kamble, Siddharth Kamble, Omkar Kamble, and Shivsharan Shende, all of whom are residents of Gultekdi.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone Two, Smartana Patil, stated, "Six individuals have been arrested following the incident. There was an old dispute between the parties involved, but this is not a case of gang warfare."
A case has been registered at Swargate Police Station, and further investigations are underway.
