Coupang Play has officially revealed the cast of its next 2025 series, Newtopia, setting the stage for an intriguing new drama. In the much-anticipated series, which promises a distinctive fusion of romance and horror set against a post-apocalyptic setting, Jisoo of BLACKPINK and actor Park Jung Min will play the main characters.

Jisoo and Park Jung Min will play lovers crossing a zombie-infested Seoul in the film Newtopia. Park Jung Min will play an older soldier named Lee Jae Yoon who is having doubts about his future. As he is continuously dealing with the chaos in the city, his character is very concerned about the security and future of his relationship. As a member of BLACKPINK, Jisoo is renowned for her extraordinary talent and charisma. She will play Jae Yoon's girlfriend, Kang Young Ju. Young Ju, a former beauty with an engineering degree, looks forward to Jae Yoon's military release and being offered a job. The chaos of a zombie apocalypse provides levels of tension and passion to the story as their love story develops.
