BTS’ Jin Boosts Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island to Top Monday’s TV Ratings with 5.3%

 

BTS member Jin recently appeared as a guest on the South Korean variety show Half-Star Hotel in Lost. His episode has been a major hit, achieving impressive viewership numbers and becoming the top-rated show of the day.

Half-Star Hotel in Lost Tops Ratings Charts

On August 27, 2024, Nielsen Korean released the ratings for entertainment shows aired the previous day. The episode featuring Jin scored a nationwide household rating of 5.3 percent. This achievement marks the 16th time in a row that Half-Star Hotel in Lost has claimed the top spot in its time slot across all channels.

The episode included Jin alongside other notable guests like BTS’s Jin, B1A4’s Sandeul, Kim Nam Il, and the father-son chef duo Lee Yeon Bok and Lee Hong Un. The team journeyed to a new island to explore locations for their second store, adding an adventurous twist to the show.

Jin’s First TV Appearance After Military Service

This episode is Jin’s first television appearance since being discharged from the military on June 13, 2024. Before this, he celebrated BTS’s 11th anniversary during FESTA 2024 at Jamsil Arena. Jin is also featured in his solo variety show, RUN JIN, a spin-off of Run BTS, where he engages in various outdoor activities.

BTS and Jin’s Career Highlights

Jin debuted as a K-pop idol in 2013 with BTS, alongside RM, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook, and Jimin. He made his solo debut with the single The Astronaut in 2022. The rest of the BTS members are currently serving in the South Korean Army and are expected to return by 2025.
