Delhi High Court Blocks T-Series from Using Aashiqui Title: Mukesh Bhatt's Fight to Protect the Franchise!

The Delhi High Court, in a significant judgment on Wednesday, ruled that T-Series cannot use the title "Aashiqui" for its upcoming movies. This legal battle between T-Series and Vishesh Films was initiated by Mukesh Bhatt, who wanted to protect the legacy of the "Aashiqui" brand.

Mukesh Bhatt Defends Aashiqui's Legacy

In an interview with The Times of India, Mukesh Bhatt explained his stance against T-Series Chairman Bhushan Kumar. He emphasized that his actions were taken to safeguard the values of the "Aashiqui" franchise, a brand that holds a special place in the hearts of the audience.

Mukesh stated, "I made Aashiqui 2 with the same values as the first one. After 50 years in the industry, I understand what the franchise stands for, and unfortunately, Bhushan does not. He was unintentionally harming the brand."

He further added, "Protecting the 'Aashiqui' brand is essential, not just for me and Bhushan but for the audience. If Aashiqui dies, love and music die with it."

The Legal Battle Over the 'Aashiqui' Title

In the court's ruling, Justice Sanjeev Narula stated that T-Series' use of the title could lead to confusion and dilute the value of the Aashiqui brand. The court ruled in favor of Vishesh Films, preventing T-Series from using the name for future projects.
