Divya Prabha Nude Scene Leak: ‘All We Imagine As Light’ Actress Back Fires, Says ‘I Don’t Need Fame’

Divya Prabha addresses the leak of her nude scene from All We Imagine As Light, responding to critics with a powerful statement: ‘I don’t need to strip for fame’

Actor Divya Prabha recently broke her silence after a nude scene from her film All We Imagine As Light was leaked online. The scene, which was part of her role as a young Malayali nurse named Anu, sparked controversy after it surfaced on social media. Speaking to Onmanorama, Divya expressed her disappointment, calling the incident "really pathetic" and revealing that she had expected such a reaction from some members of the public.

Divya Prabha Responds to Critics

The actor responded to those who suggested that she did the nude scene to gain fame. Divya was firm in her stance, saying, "I don’t need to strip naked to earn fame." She further clarified that the decision to take on the role was driven by her belief in the script and her character, not the intention to gain attention.

She also pointed out the hypocrisy within the entertainment industry, noting how filmmakers like Yorgos Lanthimos are celebrated internationally, and yet, similar roles for Malayali women often attract harsh criticism. "We are a community that celebrates such films and performances, yet when Malayali women take on such roles, they are judged harshly," she said.

Divya was pleased to see that there were also people, especially men, who opposed the online leaking of the scene. She interpreted this as a positive sign, indicating that there is hope for change in the current generation. However, she was troubled by the mindset of those who shared the video. "Those who shared the leaked videos make up just 10 percent of the population, and I can't understand their mentality," Divya said.

She also addressed the irony that the film, which received approval from the Central Board of Film Certification, faced such a backlash. "Malayalis were part of the board that approved the film, yet some people are criticizing it now," she added.
