Jisoo Beats Lisa, Rosé & IU to Become Top K-pop Soloist in April!
Jisoo ranks No.1 on Circle Chart, surpassing BLACKPINK members and IU in 2025 solo album sales. Find out how ME and AMORTAGE made K-pop history.
K-pop star Jisoo has clinched the top spot on the Circle Chart (formerly Gaon Chart), making waves as the highest-selling female K-pop soloist of 2025. Her full-length debut album ME, launched on March 31, and her follow-up EP AMORTAGE have collectively crossed 2 million in sales.
The BLACKPINK member quietly overtook industry giants, including her bandmates Lisa and Rosé, and even veteran singer-songwriter IU, who has long been considered the queen of domestic album sales.
Jisoo Surpasses Lisa, Rosé, and IU in Domestic Sales
According to The Korea Herald, Jisoo sold over 1.5 million copies of her single ME, and an additional 462,057 units from AMORTAGE. In total, her solo career sales now stand above 2 million, surpassing IU's 1.84 million and Lisa-Rosé’s combined 2.5 million — when focusing on domestic Circle Chart numbers, Jisoo leads.
BLACKPINK’s Solo Era: Jisoo Leads the Pack
While Jennie and Lisa also released solo albums around the same time, Jisoo’s consistent domestic performance helped her climb the Circle Chart. She has also been the most active BLACKPINK member post-YG Entertainment, with more solo appearances and a full fan meeting tour across Asia.
Jisoo held her solo tour titled 2025 Fan Edition: Jisoo Asia Tour—Lights, Love, Action!, with stops in seven Asian cities, including Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. Each event drew massive fan turnouts, especially impressive since they were fan-meeting-style events rather than full concerts.
While Lisa and Jennie each held five solo concerts, Rosé is yet to announce any official solo tour. The contrast in activity levels has drawn attention, with fans applauding Jisoo for balancing both album and event promotions.
