VANNER’s BURN Hits Billboard Charts! A New K-Pop Force Rises Globally
South Korean boy group VANNER has achieved an exciting milestone with the release of their third mini-album, BURN, marking their debut on the Billboard charts. Released on September 30, 2024, BURN climbed to 32nd place on Billboard’s prestigious Top Album Sales chart, signaling VANNER’s growing popularity and influence in the international music market. This Billboard entry is a significant moment for the group as they establish themselves on the global stage.
Beyond its position on the Top Album Sales chart, BURN also found its place on several other prominent Billboard lists. The album reached an impressive 15th spot on the Emerging Artists chart, making VANNER the highest-ranking male K-pop act for the week. Additionally, BURN landed at 26th on the Current Album Sales chart and 14th on the World Albums chart, highlighting the group’s appeal among international audiences.
According to Luminate, a leading music data measurement platform, BURN claimed the top position on the Top New Artist Albums chart and secured strong placements on other notable charts. It ranked 13th on the Internal Album Chart, 5th on the Record Label Independent Current Albums Chart, and 32nd on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Chart. These achievements underline VANNER’s expanding reach and ability to connect with fans worldwide.
Overcoming Challenges and Reaching Global Fans
The album’s success is especially noteworthy as member Sungkook was absent due to his mandatory military service, which began in May 2024. Despite his absence, VANNER managed to produce a project that resonated deeply with fans, showcasing their dedication and talent. This accomplishment highlights the group’s ability to overcome challenges and deliver music that leaves a mark across different audiences.
BURN features six tracks: Revolver, Automatic (the title track), New Heights, Blossom, Xcellerate, and Be Together. The album’s physical release came in four collectible versions—Spark Start, Sparkle, Empty, and PLVE—making it a must-have for fans eager to support the group and own each edition.
Adding to their success, BURN brought VANNER their first-ever music show win on Music Bank with the lead track Automatic, a major milestone that further solidified their presence in the K-pop industry.
Upcoming Changes as Hyesung Prepares for Military Service
With the album’s success, VANNER faces upcoming changes. On October 17, KLAP Entertainment, VANNER’s label, announced that member Hyesung would be enlisting for his mandatory military service on November 4, following Sungkook’s enlistment earlier in the year. Despite these changes, VANNER’s commitment to their music and fans remains unwavering, and BURN stands as a testament to their growth and resilience.
