Riteish Deshmukh, the popular Bollywood actor, has recently expressed deep anger and pain over a tragic sexual assault case involving two young girls in Badlapur, Maharashtra. The actor, known for his kind heart and sense of justice, took to his social media to express his emotions. He strongly demanded that the harshest punishment should be given to the guilty.

This case involves two four-year-old girls who were allegedly assaulted by a male cleaning staff member at their school. Riteish, who is also a father, shared how disgusted and furious he was over the matter. He emphasized the need for strict punishment and even referred to old laws from the time of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, calling for their revival in modern times.

He assured the public that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) had already been formed to dig deep into the case. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also stepped in, instructing that the SIT be led by a senior police officer, Arti Singh. Prominent political leaders like Uddhav Thackeray have also weighed in, lamenting the delay in stronger laws to protect children.

Anger has spilled into the streets as protestors gathered at Badlapur Railway Station to express their fury over the assault. The protest disrupted train services, and incidents of stone-pelting were reported. The police had to step in, using tear gas and lathi-charge to control the situation.
