These photos are from the time when she won the title of Miss Universe in the year 1994. She impressed the whole world with her confidence and beauty.

Sushmita Sen has posted some pictures of her time as Miss Universe on her Instagram handle. She wrote in the caption, '31 years ago when I was 18 years old, I won the title of Miss Universe. This was India's first victory. This victory changed my life. It opened the doors of the world for me and I got to learn, see and understand a lot.'

She further wrote, 'This victory taught me that there is strength in hope, miracles happen by taking everyone along and love is the greatest thing. I got a chance to travel the world and meet very inspiring people. This was the most important turning point in my life. I thank God, my mother and Baba from the bottom of my heart. I will always remember with pride that I got a chance to represent my country India.'

Won the title of Miss Universe in the year 1994
