13-Year-Old Boy Dies from Loud DJ in Bhopal, Family's Pleas Ignored by DJs

A 13-year-old boy in Bhopal died after collapsing due to loud DJ music at a procession. Despite his family’s pleas, the DJ operators ignored the warnings and continued.

In a heart-wrenching incident in Bhopal, a 13-year-old boy lost his life due to the excessively loud music from a DJ system during a religious procession. The young boy, identified as Samar Billore, was attending a procession in Sai Baba Nagar when the loud noise from the DJ caused him to collapse and eventually led to his tragic death.

Samar had left his home, telling his mother he was going to watch the procession. Unfortunately, he collapsed near the DJ due to the overpowering sound, and despite his mother and family pleading with the DJ operators to lower the volume, the music continued. Samar was immediately rushed to Narmada Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

No Action Despite Pleas to Lower the Volume

Samar's family is now seeking justice and calling for action against the DJ operators, who continued to play loud music despite the family’s desperate requests. Samar’s mother is devastated and is demanding accountability for the tragic incident that took her son’s life.

WHO Guidelines on Noise Pollution

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), noise levels above 65 decibels can lead to noise pollution, and prolonged exposure to sound over 75 decibels can be harmful to health. When sound levels exceed 120 decibels, it can cause severe health issues, including heart attacks, brain hemorrhages, and hearing loss.

Police Crackdown on DJs

In the wake of this tragedy, local police have begun cracking down on DJ operators in Bhopal. Over 100 DJ owners have been charged, and more than 30 DJ systems have been seized. However, the lack of a formal complaint from Samar's family and the absence of an autopsy on his body have left critical questions unanswered about the exact cause of his death.

Authorities have expressed their concern over the incident, and the police are continuing their investigation into illegal use of loud DJ systems during public events. The local government has set a limit of 95 decibels for DJ sound systems, but enforcement of this limit has been lax until now.
