Akhilesh Yadav's Rally in Kanpur: Highlights on Bulldozer Politics, Supreme Court Verdict, and Upcoming Elections - Read Now

Akhilesh Yadav’s Kanpur rally highlights bulldozer politics, the Supreme Court’s decision against forced demolitions, and BJP’s failure on jobs. He predicts a BJP defeat in the by-elections and the 2027 polls.

Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had come out with a series of pointed remarks against the BJP government over issues ranging from bulldozer politics to employment and inflation in the powerful rally held here in Kanpur's Sisamau constituency. The rally was part of Akhilesh's campaign for the upcoming by-elections. It also celebrated a recent Supreme Court verdict on unfair demolitions, which imposed a Rs 25 lakh fine on the government and ordered compensation from officials responsible.

This decision by the Supreme Court I will welcome, it will halt the false panic of bulldozers and keep them in the garage and this doesn't ring the demolition bell for the poor,' said Yadav. Meanwhile, he claimed that justice will be delivered to SP leader Irfan Solanki who had given a statement over the case to media persons that fake cases were lodged to make way for a by-election in the constituency.

Criticism of BJP Bulldozer Politics
Bulldozer politics, a term widely used in Uttar Pradesh because of the BJP's strategy of demolition as a law-and-order measure, dominated Akhilesh's speech. Yadav accused the BJP for using bulldozers to destroy homes of the underprivileged. He said that the bulldozer policy has left counts of families dejected and reiterated his confidence in the Supreme Court to restore justice. He took the bulldozer to break families, but now it will remain idle Yadav said

Election Strategy and BJP Criticism
The SP leader also stated that the people of Uttar Pradesh will reject the BJP in the by-elections as well and even the election scheduled in the year 2027. Yadav branded that the simplest issues including that of producing employment and checking inflation seem to be beyond the reach of the BJP which associates dearer essential commodities at hand and pushes for profits at the cost of public.

The BJP has no answers to simple issues. They talk of catchy slogans when the inflation is sky-high and jobs are few," Yadav observed, referring to his PDA slogan that he claimed has ruffled the ruling party's feathers. He said the delay in Ayodhya's by-elections by the BJP reflects their fear of the defeat in public support.

Call for Support in By-Elections
Akhilesh asked people in Kanpur to vote convincingly in the by-elections and said that SP candidate Naseem Solanki has won the poll with record margins. He thanked Supreme Court for its decision regarding curbing ad-hoc demolitions and promised to do justice for UP people.

He along with his rally through Kanpur, exhibited that the condition of poor and jobless people in UP was pathetic, and the Samajwadi Party was the only hope for voters who are fed up with the present government.
