Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Sunday, 27 October 2024, inaugurated a passenger terminal building and a new cargo gate at the North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, at India-Bangladesh Borderland. He said, "Mamata didi was happy when our seats reduced in the Lok Sabha elections.". We are a party which had only two seats but wanted to abrogate Article 370. Shah said that state-sponsored infiltration prevails in Bengal and could be stopped only by voting for BJP in 2026. He lamented, "Instead of Ravindra Sangeet, today we hear bomb blasts in Bengal." He sounded the alarm about increasing corruption in the state.
Shah attacked the claims of Banerjee to make a difference in Bengal with its development and contrasted this with the ₹7.74 lakh crore pumped into the state account from the centre over a decade, a much greater sum than it was given under the UPA regime; he further termed the ruling government of Bengal of massive loot while spending that amount.
He also highlighted that majority of the central schemes, including MGNREGA and PMAY, appear to have helped people at large who are affiliated with the party. Shah further underlined the need for using these land ports as major transshipment centers to curb border smuggling, and boost both medical and educational tourism.

While discussing the membership campaign, he appeals to the young minds in Bengal that only by winning for BJP next state polls illegal immigration shall be restricted. He did not forget taunting Rahul Gandhi over what he had learned from these outcomes in parliament.
Finally, Shah will attend an organizational meeting in Salt Lake, Kolkata, where the strategies for up-coming by-elections will be discussed. Circles of political circles expect he may also meet the family of a trainee doctor raped and murdered in August tragically.
