Baba Siddique Murder: Gujarat Man Arrested in Akola, Total Arrests Reach 25
The Mumbai Crime Branch on Sunday arrested a Gujarat resident, Salmanbhai Iqbalbhai Vohra, in connection with the high-profile Baba Siddique murder case. With this arrest at Akola, Maharashtra, the number of people arrested in the case now rises to 25.

Vohra is a resident of Petlad in Gujarat's Anand district, officials of the Crime Branch said, and was picked up from Balapur in Akola, around 565 kilometers from Mumbai. He was arrested with the help of local police there. The much-hyped murder case witnessed its first arrests at the crime site itself. Gurmail Singh from Haryana and Dharmaraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh were arrested immediately after the incident.
A much-needed breakthrough had the police finally capturing the chief shooter of the crime, Shivkumar Gautam, in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Gautam was on the run since the murder of 12 October and was held on his way to Nepal, where he attempted to escape. According to the officials, this development will act as a critical lead for investigation.
