In a significant administrative shakeup, six police inspectors in Bareilly were removed from their posts and placed on "Line Hazir" due to their failure to control crime in their respective jurisdictions. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anurag Arya took this action late on Sunday evening, citing negligence and lack of dedication towards their duties.

The SSP has also ordered departmental inquiries against these inspectors. If found guilty, they will face further disciplinary action.

Reasons for Line Hazir Orders:

  • Cantt Police Station Inspector Jag Narayan Pandey was removed for delays in registering FIRs, failure to visit crime scenes, negligence in public hearings, and not filing FIRs for cases of murder, robbery, and theft. He also failed to solve several cases. Inspector Rajesh Kumar from the Crime Branch Investigation Wing has been assigned to replace him.

  • Subhash Nagar Inspector Satish Kumar Rai was also removed due to delays in registering FIRs and for the public lodging complaints against him at the SSP office. Inspector Dharmendra Singh from the CO office has taken over his duties.

  • Bhamora Police Station In-charge Rishipal Singh was removed for his failure to solve murder cases. Inspector Pradeep Kumar Chaturvedi from the Cyber Police Station has been assigned in his place.

  • CB Ganj Police Station In-charge Rajbali Singh was removed for not registering FIRs and for negligence in handling crimes against women. Inspector Suresh Chandra Gautam has taken over his responsibilities.

  • Visharatganj Inspector Deepchand was removed for delays in registering FIRs and negligence in public hearings. Inspector Satish Kumar from Bhuta Police Station has replaced him.

  • Sheeshgarh Inspector Ravindra Kumar was removed for arriving late at crime scenes and for indiscipline. Inspector Radheshyam from Izzatnagar Police Station has been assigned to replace him.

Additionally, Sub-Inspector Ajay Kumar from Aliganj Police Station was also placed on Line Hazir.

Investigation Against Inspector Jagat Singh:

Inspector Jagat Singh, who was in charge of Hafizganj Police Station, has been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU). An investigation has been initiated against him for not displaying vigilance during public events and for failing to perform his duties with seriousness.

This reshuffle highlights the SSP’s commitment to improving law and order in the district by holding police officers accountable for their performance.
