In a tragic accident on Wednesday night, three men lost their lives when a bike collided with a stationary tractor trolley near Hingarpur village on the Haldaur-Nahtaur Road in Bijnor district. Dense fog had crept up so bad that it reduced the visibility on the road.

Cousins Ravindra Singh (24), Deepak Singh (23), and Hrithik Singh (21) were going back to their home in Naudha Mohalla, Nahtaur. It was on their way back after dropping a relative at Haldaur. Since the fog was very thick, they could not notice the tractor trolley parked on the roadside while it was carrying sugarcane. Riding at high speed, the bike ran into the stationary vehicle and led to fatal injuries on the spot.

The Bijnor police reached the accident site within minutes of the collision. There, they found the three men to be severely injured and rushed them to the hospital. Unfortunately, all three were declared dead by the doctors at the hospital. The bodies have been dispatched to the district hospital for autopsy, and legal procedures are underway.

The sole son of his parents was also a groom who had just married six months back, making the loss all the more disturbing for his family. A gruesome incident has left the local community stunned as the young lives were curtailed due to a combination of poor visibility and lack of road safety measures.

The tragic accident reveals increasing risks associated with road travel during heavy fog conditions, especially when vehicles become invisible or parked in vulnerable locations. Authorities are appealing to the public to be even more cautious when travelling during foggy weather and ensure that the parked vehicles are properly located in a visible area to minimize such accidents in the future.
