CRPF's Role in Naxal-Infested Bastar

The visit highlighted the crucial role played by the CRPF in establishing peace in the Naxal-affected Bastar region. Over the past 10 months, security forces have neutralized 197 Naxals in 30 encounters, including high-profile insurgents with significant bounties on their heads. Increased pressure from security forces has also led to the surrender of many Naxals, including those involved in major incidents like the Jhiram Valley attack.

Government's Commitment

CM Sai appreciated the efforts of CRPF and the state police in restoring peace in Bastar, stating that with such efforts, support to the personnel will not end; rather medical facilities will be improvised for jawans injured during operations against Naxals. He urged that the jawans continue their operations against Naxals with determination.
This visit was a morale booster for security forces, and it focused more on eradicating Naxalism from this place.
