Delhi Police Bust Fake Currency Racket: Delhi Police dismantled a fake currency operation after seizing ₹17 lakh in counterfeit ₹500 notes. The printing was being carried out in a rented room in Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad. Four suspects were arrested for printing and distributing the fake notes, with the police recovering printing machines, counterfeit currency sheets, and other related tools.
 

Delhi Police Bust Fake Currency Racket: The Delhi Police have busted a fake currency racket in the northern district of the city. The Special Staff of Outer North District seized counterfeit ₹ 500 notes amounting to approximately ₹ 17 lakh from four arrestees involved in this operation. According to police, the counterfeit currency was being printed in a rented room at Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad. One individual was printing the notes and the three others were operating for distribution at different places.

The police claimed that they have seized 919 fake ₹500 notes besides 621 sheets of A4 size counterfeit Indian currency amounts to ₹17,01,500. Apart from these, the police have also seized the operating equipment, a laptop, a colour printer, two laminators, paper cutting machine, bundle of A4 papers, watermark stamp in the shape of Mahatma Gandhi, paper cutters, and paper pressing machine and other tools to print fake currency.

The arrested suspects include Vikas Bhardwaj, a resident of Khera Khurd village, Delhi; Satyam Singh, a resident of Chkraut village, Gonda; Sachin, a resident of Kadrahan Purwa village, Gonda; and Anurag Sharma, who hails from Mirganj, Bareilly. According to police investigations, Sachin, 22 years old and a resident of Khoda Colony, printed the notes, while the other three suspects distributed the fake currency in different areas.

The police are conducting further investigations and expect to apprehend a higher number of people connected with the racket.
