Diwali Special Vande Bharat Express: Relief to Travelers between UP-Bihar Special Train Service Launched – Check Route, Timing, and Fare
With Diwali just around the corner, many are packing up to head home and return to family to celebrate with them. However, with increased demand, getting confirmed tickets on regular trains has become slightly tough. Indian Railways has brought an elevated Diwali Vande Bharat Express for UP and Bihar passengers for a comfortable and a faster journey. This special service is going to increase the festive spirit as well, as confirmed tickets on the Vande Bharat train for travelers during Diwali.

Service Date and Frequency
Indian Railways took up this special Vande Bharat Express between Lucknow and Chhapra junction in Bihar in order to absorb the holiday rush. Now it takes 7 hours and 30 minutes between Lucknow to Chhapra. In a release issued on its website, it has started running from October 25 till November 9 which will run on all six days a week between Lucknow and Chhapra undertaking 13 round trips covering.
Train Timings
The special fare Vande Bharat Express departs from Lucknow Junction at 2:15 PM and reaches Chhapra Junction at 9:30 PM. On return, it leaves Chhapra at 11:00 PM and reaches Lucknow the next morning at 6:30 AM.
Route and Halts
Five stops will be planned between Lucknow and Chhapra at which Vande Bharat Express will stop. On the way to Varanasi, Sultanpur Junction, Varanasi Junction, Ghazipur City, Ballia, and Suriyamanpur will be the stopping station, followed by a complete halt at Chhapra Junction.
Fare and Classes
The special Vande Bharat train plying on Diwali has two classes-CC and EC. The fare of a CC coach single seat is at ₹1,780, while an EC coach fares at ₹3,125.
This is the second Indian Railways initiative in two years and boon for travelers before a festival to travel fast, comfortably from Uttar Pradesh to Bihar that may turn easier for people to spend Diwali with their near and dear ones.
