Ghaziabad: Dengue, Malaria, and Chikungunya Threat Looms Over Society, Residents in Fear

Residents of Aashiyana Greens Society in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, are alarmed by the rising threat of dengue, malaria, and chikungunya due to stagnant water and overgrown bushes behind their society.

Residents of Aashiyana Greens Society in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, are facing a severe health and safety crisis. The open land behind the society has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes due to overgrown bushes and stagnant rainwater, increasing the risk of diseases like dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. The unkempt field, located in Ahinsa Khand-2, has long been neglected, leading to an influx of wild animals like nilgai and snakes, along with frequent visits by anti-social elements. This has not only raised health concerns but also heightened fears for the safety of residents.

The stagnant water behind the society is causing an unbearable stench and contributing to a massive spike in the mosquito population. Residents are growing increasingly anxious about the spread of mosquito-borne diseases. They report that the number of mosquitoes is multiplying daily, making the situation more alarming.

Appeal to Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA)

In response to the escalating threat, the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Aashiyana Greens has written to the Vice President of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), urging immediate action. They have requested that the land behind the society be cleared of bushes and the water properly drained. Residents fear that if the issue is not resolved soon, it could lead to a major outbreak of diseases.

The people of Aashiyana Greens are hopeful that the authorities will take swift measures to prevent the further spread of these health hazards and ensure the safety of their community.
