Ghaziabad to Develop New Hi-Tech City, GDA Approves Master Plan

Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad is set to make significant strides in urban development with the approval of a new master plan by the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA). This initiative aims to position Ghaziabad as a competitive urban center alongside Noida and Greater Noida, introducing a range of modern facilities and infrastructure.

New Hi-Tech Township: Harnandipuram

A new hi-tech city, named Harnandipuram, will be established over an area of 541 hectares, incorporating villages such as Mathurapur, Shamser, Champat Nagar, Bhanda Khurd, and Nangla Firoz Mohanpur. This township is designed to mirror the development style of Indirapuram and is expected to be a pivotal step in enhancing Ghaziabad's urban landscape.

Infrastructure Developments

As part of this ambitious plan, a logistics park will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹100 crore. This facility will serve the regions of Loni, Fatehabad, Nithora, and Dasna, further bolstering the local economy and creating job opportunities. Additionally, truck parking facilities will be developed at Tila Mode, Farukh Nagar Road, and Morata and Bhojpur, aiming to enhance the transport network in the area.

Transit-Oriented Development Zones

The GDA also announced plans to develop a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) zone connected to the Metro’s Red and Blue Lines. This zone will allow for residential and commercial activities within a 500-meter radius of the transit stations, covering 483 hectares alongside the Red Line and 154 hectares adjacent to the Blue Line.

The Ghaziabad Development Authority’s latest initiative is set to transform the city into a modern urban hub, integrating advanced infrastructure, logistics, and transportation solutions. As the development progresses, Ghaziabad is poised to strengthen its position as a vital player in the National Capital Region’s growth story.
