Gondia Bus Accident: A tragic bus accident in Gondia, Maharashtra, on November 29 has left nine people dead and several others injured after a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus overturned. The accident occurred when the bus swerved to avoid a motorcycle near the village of Khajri. The bus had over 35 passengers onboard, and authorities fear the death toll may rise.
 

Gondia Bus Accident: At least nine people have been confirmed dead in a ghastly bus accident in Gondia, Maharashtra, as a Shivshahi bus from the MSRTC turned over on Friday. The mishap happened close to Khajri village along the State Highway, Maharashtra, as the driver was trying to avoid a motorcycle. This accident took place between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM on November 29.

The bus traveling from Bhandara to Gondia had over 35 passengers on board, and nine have been confirmed dead, while several others are injured. The death toll is feared to rise. The bus driver is said to have fled the scene after the accident, leaving the authorities and emergency responders to deal with the victims. The injured passengers have been taken to the KTKS government hospital in Gondia for treatment.

In reaction to the tragedy, Acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has ordered the transport department to provide a relief of ₹10 lakh immediately to the victims. The Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis took to social media to express condolences and instructed the district collector to make sure that all injured get proper medical treatment. Fadnavis further asked for the transfer of patients to Nagpur if the case is required. Police have begun their probe into the incident.
