Amid the internal strife within the Haryana Congress, Union Minister and former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has made a significant statement, targeting the Congress party over the treatment of Dalit leader and MP Kumari Selja. Khattar accused Congress of disrespecting Dalits, claiming that Selja was insulted and sidelined by the party. He went on to extend an invitation to Selja to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying, “If she chooses to join us, we are ready to welcome her.”

Khattar also criticized the ongoing power struggle within the Congress, stating, “There is so much infighting in the Congress that they can't even decide on a clear face for the Chief Minister’s position. There's a father-son rivalry, with both staking claims to the top post, while others in the party have their own aspirations.” He added that anyone whose ambitions don’t align with the party’s chosen candidate is humiliated and sidelined.

Selja’s Absence from Campaigning Sparks Speculation

Khattar highlighted that Kumari Selja, a prominent Dalit leader, has not been seen campaigning for over a week due to internal tensions within the Congress. He accused the party of disrespecting her, saying, "Our Dalit sister has been insulted, even abused, and forced to sit at home." He reiterated that BJP is open to embracing leaders like her who feel marginalized by their own party.

Amid this turmoil, there is growing speculation about Selja and senior Congress leader Randeep Surjewala potentially joining the BJP. When asked about this, Khattar hinted that anything is possible, stating, “This is a world of possibilities, and none can be ruled out. Time will reveal the answers.”

CM Post Aspirations

Commenting on the Chief Ministerial race in Haryana, Khattar took a subtle dig at Congress leaders vying for the top post, stating, “I believe all 90 candidates in Haryana's Assembly should stake a claim for the Chief Minister's position. If they feel it benefits them, why not?”

Khattar further slammed Congress leaders for allegedly focusing on personal gains rather than the state's development. Referring to claims by Congress members about filling their own pockets, he remarked, “Those who talk about filling their homes will be answered by Haryana’s youth. We have provided job opportunities to lakhs of people, which resonates with the younger generation.”

Congress Infighting Continues

The internal discord within the Haryana Congress continues to intensify as the party struggles to maintain unity ahead of upcoming elections. With key leaders like Selja and Surjewala reportedly distancing themselves, the BJP is watching closely, looking to capitalize on the unrest. It remains to be seen how this internal conflict will shape the future political landscape in Haryana.
