Ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list of 67 candidates. Among the prominent names are Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, who will contest from the Ladwa seat, and Anil Vij, who has been fielded from Ambala Cantonment.

The BJP's Central Election Committee meeting for Haryana elections was held on August 29, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in attendance. The meeting saw discussions on candidate selection, and the party has now officially released its list of 67 candidates for the state elections.

In a surprising move, BJP has not given a ticket to wrestler-turned-politician Babita Phogat. However, Shruti Choudhary, daughter of Kiran Choudhary, has been given the ticket for Tosham. Om Prakash Dhankar will contest from Badli, while Bhavya Bishnoi, son of Kuldeep Bishnoi, will contest from Adampur. Rao Inderjit Singh’s daughter, Aarti Rao, has been fielded from Ateli.

  • Naib Singh Saini: Ladwa
  • Anil Vij: Ambala Cantonment
  • Shruti Choudhary: Tosham
  • Bhavya Bishnoi: Adampur
  • Aarti Rao: Ateli
  • Om Prakash Dhankar: Badli

With the elections approaching, this first list sets the stage for a crucial political battle in Haryana, as the BJP seeks to retain its stronghold in the state.
