Hemant Soren Sworn in as Jharkhand CM After INDIA Bloc's Landslide Win in State Polls

Hemant Soren took the oath of office as Jharkhand's Chief Minister following a resounding victory by the INDIA bloc in the state elections. The JMM-led alliance triumphed with 56 seats in the 81-member Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. The swearing-in ceremony saw the presence of prominent opposition leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee, and Akhilesh Yadav, reflecting the growing unity among opposition parties in the state.
 

Hemant Soren, who has been leading the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), is being sworn in as Chief Minister of Jharkhand today, marking a defining day for the state, immediately after the INDIA alliance won the Assembly elections overwhelmingly recently. The swearing-in was at Ranchi's Moradabad Ground. Notable leaders from the opposition INDIA alliance in attendance included Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, and Tejashwi Yadav.

The JMM-led alliance won a decisive mandate in the state polls, bagging 56 out of 81 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly, which clinched a vital win for the opposition. The result, declared on Saturday, also indicated the rising tide of the INDIA bloc in the regional politics. The swearing-in ceremony also symbolized the show of unity by opposition parties as they stood by Soren's leadership to ensure his second term as CM.
