Koppal, Sept. 6 — In a series of unfortunate events in Koppal district, two separate incidents have raised concerns about safety and health.

Lab Technician Found Dead in Home

In Kaalidasnagar, the body of Srikanth, a 45-year-old lab technician from the district hospital, was discovered in a decomposed state in his rented home. Srikanth, who had been living alone for the past seven years and had a history of alcohol addiction, was found after neighbors reported a foul odor. Police, responding to the complaint, discovered the body inside the residence. The cause of death is suspected to be related to alcohol consumption, but further investigation is ongoing. The incident was reported within the Koppal City Police jurisdiction.

Health Officer Found Dead in Lodge

In Udupi, a disturbing incident has emerged involving Prashant, a 37-year-old junior health officer from the Korgi Primary Health Center. Prashant, who had been transferred to the Byndoor Community Health Center due to his drinking habits, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a private lodge in Kundapura. Prashant had reportedly mentioned to friends about mental distress. The lodge room where he was found showed signs of a possible substance-related issue. An investigation has been launched at the Kundapura Police Station.

Pregnant Woman Commits Suicide Over Dowry Harassment

In Mysore, a tragic case of suicide has been reported involving Chaitra, an eight-month-pregnant woman. She reportedly took her own life due to alleged dowry harassment by her husband, Muthuraj, and his family. The incident occurred in Kanakagiri. Chaitra’s parents have filed a complaint with the Vidyaranyapuram Police Station, leading to the arrest of her husband, Sharathraj.
