Kumaraswamy Fires Back at Lokayukta ADGP, Stirring Karnataka Politics!

Karnataka politics took a dramatic turn as former CM HD Kumaraswamy hit back at Lokayukta ADGP Chandrashekar over alleged conspiracy claims. Kumaraswamy’s fiery response has sparked political tensions, with accusations flying and the political landscape in the state heating up ahead of key developments.

In a heated press conference held in Delhi, former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy unleashed a barrage of accusations against Lokayukta ADGP Chandrashekar, claiming a conspiracy aimed at imprisoning him.

Jail Conspiracy Claims: Kumaraswamy alleged that Chandrashekar harbors intentions to send him to jail, stating, “He has spoken about wanting to send me behind bars one day.” His remarks came after previous comments made by the ADGP.

Political Accusations: The minister accused the Lokayukta officer of attempting to include his name in a chargesheet, suggesting political motives. “I am out on bail; nobody has the authority to label me a criminal without cause,” he asserted.

Denial of Wrongdoing: Kumaraswamy defended his actions, stating that political allegations cannot tarnish his reputation. He emphasized, “I have not misused my power or threatened officials. My questioning was relevant to my case and the conduct of the Lokayukta.”

Questions on Officer's Background: He questioned the integrity of the officer, stating, “Did you become an IPS officer to protect those involved in illegal activities?” Kumaraswamy insisted that he is not in a position to offer protection to anyone.

Rebuffing Misinformation: The former CM criticized Chandrashekar for writing letters without official backing, claiming it misled the public. He challenged the integrity of other officials, notably questioning whether they would accept being labeled criminals by the same officer.
