Major Accident on Kanpur Highway: A major accident occurred on the Kanpur Highway in Jhansi’s Moth police station area near the Kumharar overbridge. A private bus carrying over 50 passengers collided with a speeding truck, leaving six passengers injured and the driver in critical condition.
The bus, traveling from Kanpur to Gujarat, was navigating a wrong-side turn near an illegal cut outside a dhaba when the truck struck it forcefully from behind. The impact thrust the bus into a ditch, where it rested against an electricity pole.
When the accident took place, the highway erupted into chaos, leading to swift action by the police. The injured passengers were taken to the hospital in Moth while the driver was seriously hurt and referred to Medical College in Jhansi for further treatment.
