Meerut: CA Student Assaulted by Teacher Who Picked Her Up in Class, Family Protests

Meerut, India – A shocking incident occurred at a coaching center in Meerut where a student preparing for Chartered Accountancy exams was allegedly assaulted by her teacher. The incident took place in the Kotwali area and has stirred significant outrage among the local community.

According to reports, the teacher reportedly picked up the student inappropriately and made lewd comments, causing the student to protest against the act. The distressed student informed her family about the incident, leading them to visit the coaching center to confront the accused teacher.

The family, enraged by the teacher's actions, physically assaulted him at the coaching center. They then took the teacher to the Kotwali police station, demanding legal action against him. During the commotion at the station, the accused was reportedly beaten with sandals by students. However, after prolonged unrest, the family decided to withdraw their complaint, opting not to pursue further legal action.

According to reports, the accused teacher had been harassing the student for about 20 days. On the day of the incident, he allegedly lifted the student into his lap and used inappropriate language.

Following the altercation, the police filed a case under the provisions for breach of peace against the teacher and released him on bail. The coaching center's management has since dismissed the teacher from his position.

CO Kotwali Ashutosh Kumar stated that since the family did not file an official complaint, the police could only proceed with actions related to maintaining public order.
