NIA Official's Daughter Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances in Uttar Pradesh Hostel
Lucknow, September 2 – In a shocking incident, the daughter of a senior National Investigation Agency (NIA) officer was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hostel room in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased, Anika Rastogi, was a 19-year-old third-year LLB student at the Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University.
Anika, daughter of Santosh Rastogi, a 1998 batch IPS officer of the Maharashtra cadre currently serving as Inspector General in the NIA, was discovered unconscious on the floor of her hostel room late Saturday night. Despite immediate efforts to revive her, she was declared dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.
According to initial reports, Anika's death is suspected to be due to cardiac arrest. However, the circumstances surrounding her sudden demise have raised suspicions, prompting a thorough investigation by the local authorities.
Anika's fellow students became concerned when she did not respond to repeated calls and knocks on her door. Eventually, they broke down the door and found her unconscious. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she could not be revived.
Doctors at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital stated that Anika had suffered a cardiac arrest around 10 PM. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Police have stated that no formal complaint has been filed by the family as of yet, and further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report.
