NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh — The number of billionaires in Uttar Pradesh has seen a remarkable fourfold increase over the past four years, with Noida emerging as a key hub for wealth creation. According to the latest list released by Hurun International, the state now boasts 36 billionaires, up from just nine in 2020. Notably, 11 of these billionaires hail from Noida, reflecting the city's growing significance as a center for major enterprises.

Leading the Billionaire Pack

The list is topped by the Gyan Chandani brothers from Kanpur, owners of the popular Ghadi detergent brand. Murli Dhar Gyan Chandani and Bimal Gyan Chandani have secured the first and second positions, respectively, with a combined wealth of ₹24,300 crore.

Noida's presence in the billionaire list begins from the fifth position, marking the city's growing influence in the state's economic landscape.

Top Billionaires from Noida

Noida has a strong representation in the top ten positions, with four billionaires making the cut:

  1. Hitesh Oberoi - Owner of Info Edge, ranked fifth with a wealth of ₹7,600 crore.
  2. Dinesh Chandra Agarwal - Owner of IndiaMart, ranked sixth with ₹5,400 crore.
  3. Yashish Dahiya - Owner of PB Fintech, ranked eighth with ₹4,100 crore.
  4. Brijesh Agarwal - Another co-owner of IndiaMart, ranked tenth with ₹3,700 crore.

Emergence of Billionaires from Smaller Cities

For the first time, the Hurun list includes billionaires from smaller cities in Uttar Pradesh, such as Aligarh, Gorakhpur, and Faizabad.
