NEW DELHI: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, who is contesting the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election, recently filed her nomination papers, revealing her total income and property details in the election affidavit. Her total movable assets amount to ₹4,24,78,689, while her immovable assets are valued at ₹13,89,92,515.

According to the affidavit, Priyanka has made significant investments in mutual funds, totaling ₹2.24 crore. She also holds three bank accounts and maintains ₹52,000 in cash as of September 30. Additionally, her Public Provident Fund (PPF) account contains ₹17.38 lakh.

Jewelry and Precious Metals

Priyanka Gandhi possesses 4.41 kilograms of jewelry, including 2.5 kilograms of gold worth ₹1.15 crore. She also owns 59.83 kilograms of silver items valued at ₹29.55 lakh.

Immovable Property and Real Estate

In terms of immovable property, Priyanka Gandhi has agricultural land worth over ₹2.1 crore and a residence spread over 48,997 square feet, valued at ₹1 crore. She also holds residential real estate worth ₹7.77 crore. Meanwhile, her husband, Robert Vadra, has commercial buildings valued at ₹27.64 crore.

Robert Vadra's Assets

Robert Vadra, Priyanka's husband, is also a significant property holder. His movable assets amount to ₹37.91 crore. However, Priyanka herself has liabilities, including a loan of ₹15.75 lakh.

The Electoral Battle in Wayanad

Priyanka Gandhi is running for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in the by-election following Rahul Gandhi’s decision to retain the Rae Bareli constituency. She is contesting against Navya Haridas of the BJP and Sathyan Mokeri of the Left Democratic Front (LDF).

The by-election in Wayanad will take place on November 13, 2024, along with voting in 47 assembly constituencies across 13 states. The election results will be announced on November 23, 2024.
