Excitement is building at the home of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, as his eldest son, Ashish Sharma, is set to tie the knot soon. The engagement of Ashish to IAS officer Kritika Mishra recently took place in Kanpur. Kritika, originally from Kanpur, is currently serving as a Bihar-cadre IAS officer.

The wedding is reportedly scheduled for November 12, 2024, on the auspicious occasion of Devuthani Ekadashi, although no official confirmation has been made yet. The engagement ceremony was held privately on August 5 in Kanpur, attended by close family and relatives. Due to prior commitments, CM Bhajanlal Sharma was unable to attend the event.

The Sharma family includes two other sons. Abhishek Sharma, Bhajanlal Sharma’s younger son, is pursuing an MBA in Pune and is planning to launch his own startup soon. The second son, Kunal Sharma, is a doctor by profession. Reports suggest that a close-knit group, including a senior IAS officer from Uttar Pradesh and a trusted IPS officer from the CM’s home district, played an important role in arranging this match.

Kritika Mishra, the bride-to-be, is a distinguished UPSC Hindi medium topper from the 2022 civil services examination, securing the 66th rank. She earned a total of 1,006 marks, including 824 in the written exam and 182 in the interview. This was her second attempt at the UPSC, having narrowly missed clearing the interview in her first try.
